Microsoft Office 2003 Pro11msi
I have a MS office 2003 professional edition, When i try to open an excel file it ran some installation and threw an error that SKU011.CAB file was missing, I went through some online forums and one of them suggested that i do the following changes: In start / execute: Regedit HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> Software -> Microsoft -> Office -> 11.0 -> Delivery You should have this key 900-11D3-8CFE-C9 clik on it and (at the right of your screen), right clik on CDCache key. And type 0 as new value I did the same and got rid of the SKU011.CAB error, but now a new issue cropped up. As usual it starts wit some kind of installation but now says that its missing a file 'PRO11.MSI'. I dont have the ms office installer any more.
Open Windows Explorer and locate the folder which contains the installation of Microsoft Office 2000, Office 2003 or Office XP. Select the version of Office that you are running, create a new folder and rename it as XLStart and close Windows Explorer. Restart your system and launch the Excel application.
Hi People, My company uses Microsoft office 2003. I have this problem where one user recieves an error when he open MS Word. THe error states that he needs to run PRO11.MSI.
However this only happens when he is off the network. And even then if you choose cancel, word works fine, the only think you cannot do is select HELP on the toolbar. When he is on the network WORD can see the SMS server (original location of PRO11.MSI) and all is well. What i dont understand is why it continually needs to look for PRO11.MSI. At the moment the only way he can open word without getting this error is when I create a shortcut to winword.exe with the switch /a. I tried to m ake all word documents use this switch by modifying how word opens in file types, but the same switch doesnt prevent the error. I have also deleted and recreated normal.dot, and am very confused.
The obvious solution is try a reinstall, but a second person has complained of the same problem. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. The PRO11.msi file is a setup file that gives Word (Office) setup information about the edition and features available to the edition (among other things).
So, if Word is asking for it, then likely an advertised feature has been used (or requested). Advertised features are the 'install on first run' features in setup. By hitting cancel, setup just doesn't install or offer the feature. However, it does remember that you requested the feature once so it will tirelessly ask you for it until the feature is installed. You can usually fix this problem in two ways (second way is like what chuckyh suggested - my preferred method also): 1. Shlyah da podzvigu petraka i scepanidi znak byadi. Browse to the location of the pro11.msi file in the dialog box. The error actually says something like, 'the feature you are trying to use is on a disk or other removable media.'
