The Department also has a major responsibility for American Indian reservation communities and for people who live in Island Terri- tories under U.S. FOREWORD Selected Water Resources Abstracts, a semimonthly journal, includes abstracts of current and earlier pertinent monographs, journal articles, reports, and other publication formats. The contents of these documents cover the water- related aspects of the life, physical, and social sciences as well as related engi- neering and legal aspects of the characteristics, conservation, control, use, or management of water. Each abstract includes a full bibliographical citation and a set of descriptors or identifiers which are listed in the Water Resources Thesaurus (Second Edition, 1971). Each abstract entry is classified into ten fields and sixty groups similar to the water resources research categories established by the Committee on Water Resources Research of the Federal Council for Science and Technology. WRSIC IS NOT PRESENTLY IN A POSITION TO PROVIDE COPIES OF DOCU- MENTS ABSTRACTED IN THIS JOURNAL.
